To support our members in this important chapter of life, we are honoured to offer a dedicated Matrimonial and Matchmaking Service rooted in Islamic values, discretion, and community care.
Islamic Framework & Safeguarding
The Matrimonial Service at Iqra Masjid operates strictly within Islamic guidelines. We do not provide direct contact details between non-maḥram individuals.
All communication and exchange of information is conducted only through a maḥram or wali of the applicant.
This approach is rooted firmly in the Qur’an and Sunnah and is designed to:
- Protect the dignity and modesty of all parties
- Prevent inappropriate interaction
- Ensure seriousness and sincerity in proposals
- Maintain transparency and family involvement
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“A man must not be alone with a woman except in the presence of her maḥram.”
(Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī & Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)
Policy on Sharing Details
As part of our strict Islamic safeguarding policy:
- We will only pass on potential partner details to the maḥram or wali of the applicant
- No personal contact details are shared directly between the brother and sister
- Any meetings or discussions must take place with maḥram involvement and in an appropriate setting
How the Process Works
- Submit Your Interest
Begin by filling out our secure online Matrimonial Form. This includes basic personal details, religious practice, cultural background, marital preferences, and other relevant information. Your profile is kept strictly confidential and will only be reviewed by our Matrimonial Coordinator. - Match Review
Our trusted team carefully reviews submissions to identify compatible matches based on shared values, goals, and preferences. - Ongoing Support
Our team is available to offer Islamic guidance, emotional support, and additional resources to help you make informed, spiritually grounded decisions. - Nikah Services
Once a match leads to a formal agreement, Iqra Masjid also offers Nikah officiation services, venue support, and pre-marital counselling by our imam or qualified staff.
